South Sudan’ civil war is generating the second largest refugee crisis in the world. UNOPS assigned John to cover their efforts to build refugee camps, road, medical clinics, and airstrips. Without this amazing work done often under gunfire lifesaving supplies would not make it to those in need. During our time at the Agoung Thok refugee camp we met Zainab who was bombed out of her home in southern Sudan by government forces. Pregnant, she walked her 7 children to the camp seeking refuge. Her eighth child was born in the camp. Click here to see the UNOPS microsite.
